Galaxy Restoration

Deesse Media recently got the opportunity to work with Galaxy restoration on a website design and development project, and the client couldn’t have been more thrilled with the outcome. Galaxy Restorationis a Los Angeles-based company with more than 20 years in the residential and commercial property damage restoration business. Let’s take a closer look at our process of creation, step by step.

Benchmarking

Through an initial interview with the client, we were able to get a better idea of pertinent aspects of their business, such as:

  • The Galaxy Restoration business mission
  • Value proposition
  • Their target audience (buyer persona)
  • How they address the specific pain points of their target customers

After the initial interview, we took the time to research Galaxy Restoration’s competitors to further define how we could make the company stand out from the crowd. To get a better idea of how many people search for restoration services in the Los Angeles area, we also did a thorough analysis of search trends and volumes using Google data. We narrowed down the key phrases and words people used to find similar services via online searches.

Information Research and Site Structure

After collecting the highest performing keywords relative to restoration services, we moved on to creating the semantic core structure of the website. Our research showed us that prospects searched for similar services using keyword phrases like ” water damage restoration” and “water restoration companies.” To help give the new website clout in search results pages, we built the entire structure around the search queries people actually use to find such services. Pages, URLs, and even inner links were enhanced with relative semantics.

Our research found that in property damage restoration, major, franchised companies tend to be key players in the market. Instead of trying to directly compete with these major players, we chose to set Galaxy restoration apart as a local business with a keen focus on every individual customer. To do that, we built the content around what people would want from a customer-centric, local-based company. We:

  • Built content that made the full restoration process transparent, from assessment to mitigation
  • Provided people with the information they wanted to know about disasters with reliable data
  • Integrated FAQs to answer the questions people often ask using search data from Google

Finally, we worked directly with our client to create special offers we could weave into the content and the service offerings described on the site. These further differentiated Galaxy Restoration from large-scale competitors.

Visuals Development

Drawing inspiration from the Galaxy Restoration brand identifiers and personality, we worked with our visual designer to create graphic prototypes to be used on the website. From color schemes and typography to graphic elements, every last style detail was chosen to be perfectly representational of the brand:

  • Blue, red, and white colors were used to drive specific emotions: confidence, dynamics, and minimalism
  • A 3D home was chosen to illustrate planning and what a fully restored house would look like after services
  • Rounded buttons align with the geometry of the company’s branding, but also convey a sense of friendliness and openness

Lastly, graphic elements such as a paintbrush, hammer, and other tools that fit in with a “construction” theme, highlight the industry, create more visual depth, and engage the viewer.

Mockups Creation

Our coding process set forth to convert the mockup ideas we created into actual code. We built a custom theme for WordPress in CMS, which allows Galaxy Restoration to add to, maintain, and adjust their website on their own in the future.

Mobile Adaptation

Once the initial framework for the site was created, we revised the code to ensure perfect functionality on mobile devices and in compliance with Google guidelines. This ensured that the bulk of Galaxy Restoration’s prospective customers who use mobile devices to search for restoration information would get the best experience.

Onsite SEO Optimization

Onsite SEO involves a series of pertinent steps to make sure the website is as discoverable and high-ranking on SERPs as possible. We:

  • Crafted SEO-rich titles
  • Created meta descriptions
  • Optimized images for search
  • Built internal links for better crawling

QA and Launch

Quality assurance is all about running back through each prior step to ensure we haven’t missed anything. Once the website was launched, we also performed a detailed QA analysis to ensure absolutely flawless functionality.
