LA Vita

LA Vita is an upscale salon that offers an extensive collection of premium services handled by top-notch industry professionals. The brand came to Deesse Media for website design services to create a website that naturally evoked a sense of awe and a desire to belong. The existing website was misaligned with the brand personality.

Color Inspiration

LA Vita needed a memorable color palette that was bright but not pretentious. We went with the trio of total black, clear white, and luxury gold. Gold naturally provokes a sense of luxury and prosperity, but when combined with black, there is a new layer of elegance and confidence. These two dynamic colors are well highlighted by the inclusion of clear white.

Visuals

Because LA Vita is focused on bringing out the precious, beautiful state of customers, we formulated a plan to create captivating, people-focused visuals. We went with gold-coated faces, hands, and skin to automatically convey that people are as precious as the precious metal itself.

The typography we picked for LA Vita was a combination of OGG and Gilroy. Modern Antiqua (OGG) is elegant and sophisticated, but free from tradition and historicism. Combined with the color palette, this typeface enhances the luxury appeal of the site. For the simple copy in the paragraphs, we used a straightforward, easy-to-read Sans Serif.

Design Concepts

Our design team came up with two unique concepts for LA Vita to pick from. Concept one took a more minimalist approach with a cursive accent, which was simple and elegant with rectangular shapes and a confident, reliable personality. Concept two was a more sophisticated option with a greater focus on typography than shapes. We used oval shapes for a softer-yet-confident visual experience.
